Sonos Sub Mini is a compact powered wireless subwoofer designed to add deeper bass to compatible Sonos soundbars and speakers without taking over the room. Its sealed cylindrical cabinet uses two inward-facing 6" woofers in a force-cancelling configuration to reduce cabinet vibration while extending bass down to 25 Hz.

It is especially well suited to bedrooms, apartments, smaller living rooms, music spaces, and secondary TV setups where a full-size Sonos Sub may be more than you need.

Who Should Choose Sub Mini?

Choose Sub Mini when you already have a compatible Sonos soundbar or speaker and want noticeably deeper bass without moving to Sonos's larger full-size Sub.

Sonos specifically recommends Sub Mini for smaller to medium-sized rooms and low-to-moderate listening levels.

Dual 6-Inch Force-Cancelling Woofers

Two 6" woofers face inward toward each other inside the center tunnel. Their opposing movement creates a force-cancelling effect that helps reduce cabinet buzz, rattle, and vibration.

Bass Extension Down to 25 Hz

Sonos specifies low-frequency extension down to 25 Hz. Automatic DSP and limiting algorithms work with the sealed cabinet and paired Sonos product to balance bass output across different listening levels.

Compatible Sonos Products

Sub Mini works with many amplified, non-portable Sonos products, including compatible Sonos soundbars and wireless speakers.

Current supported products include models such as Sonos Ray, Beam, Arc, Arc Ultra, Five, Era 100, Era 300, One, One SL, Sonos Amp, and other compatible Sonos products running current software.

Sub Mini does not pair directly with unamplified or portable products such as Sonos Port, Move, Roam, or Connect.

Trueplay System Tuning

When Sub Mini is added to a Trueplay-compatible Sonos system, Trueplay can measure the room acoustics and fine-tune the combined speaker and subwoofer response.

Full Trueplay tuning generally requires a supported iOS or iPadOS device.

Wireless Audio, Wired Power

Sub Mini communicates with the Sonos system over Wi-Fi, so no traditional RCA subwoofer cable is required.

It is not battery powered. Sub Mini must remain connected to a nearby AC electrical outlet during use.

Placement

Place Sub Mini upright near the Sonos product it is paired with. The center tunnel can face in any direction.

If placing it near a wall or furniture, leave enough clearance around the center tunnel for unrestricted airflow.
