Luxul ABR-4500 Epic 4 Multi-WAN Gigabit Router

The Luxul ABR-4500 Epic 4 is a rack-mountable Gigabit router designed for home, AV, and business networks that need reliable internet connectivity, flexible WAN options, and more control over network traffic. The router includes one dedicated Gigabit WAN port, one dedicated Gigabit LAN port, and three configurable Gigabit LAN/WAN ports. With current Luxul firmware, WAN Acceleration can support WAN-to-LAN speeds up to 1 Gbps. Performance depends on the network configuration and enabled features. WAN Acceleration is disabled when certain functions such as Multi-WAN, QoS, Bark, Domotz, or WAN Redirect are active.

The ABR-4500 also provides advanced network management capabilities including VLAN support, QoS, firewall controls, port forwarding, DHCP management, and network security features. These tools make it easier to separate devices, prioritize important traffic, and organize more complex wired and wireless networks.

Current firmware also supports WireGuard VPN for secure remote network access. This replaces some of the VPN functionality found in earlier firmware versions, so available features may depend on the firmware installed on the router.

For rack-based installations, the ABR-4500 features rear-facing Ethernet connections, front-facing status indicators, a fanless design, and included rack-mount hardware. This layout helps keep network, AV, and security equipment organized while maintaining easy access to connection status.

The ABR-4500 can serve as the central router in a larger Luxul network alongside managed switches and wireless access points, making it suitable for networks that may need to expand over time.
