The Araknis AN-520-AP-I is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point for homes, offices, media spaces, and other networks that need stronger wireless capacity and faster wired connectivity.

Part of the Araknis Networks family, it combines 2×2 Wi-Fi 6, 160MHz channels, WPA3, Fast Roaming, OvrC management, and a 2.5GbE Ethernet connection.

The advertised 3000Mbps rating is a combined theoretical PHY rate, not guaranteed internet throughput. Actual speed depends on client hardware, interference, distance, channel width, and the wired network.

For full performance, use a compatible PoE+ network switch or approved power source. The secondary Gigabit port provides network data only and does not provide PoE output.

Araknis does not recommend mixing its Wi-Fi 6 and older Wi-Fi 5 access points in the same roaming deployment because Fast Roaming between the generations is not supported.

What Wi-Fi speed does the AN-520-AP-I support?

Araknis specifies peak PHY rates of 574Mbps on 2.4GHz and 2400Mbps on 5GHz at 160MHz. These are theoretical wireless link rates, not guaranteed internet speeds.

Does it have a 2.5GbE port?

Yes. Its primary Ethernet connection supports 2.5GbE and PoE input. A second 1GbE data-only port is also included.

Does it require PoE+?

PoE+ is required for full functionality. Standard 802.3af PoE can power the AP but provides limited functionality and reduced performance.

Does it support WPA3 and Fast Roaming?

Yes. It supports WPA3 plus 802.11r/k/v Fast Roaming, Band Steering, and DFS.

Can I mix it with Araknis Wi-Fi 5 access points?

Araknis does not recommend it because Fast Roaming between its Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 access points is not supported.

Does the second Ethernet port provide PoE?

No. The secondary Gigabit Ethernet port carries network data only.

Is it designed for outdoor use?

No. The AN-520-AP-I is an indoor access point designed primarily for ceiling installation.
